Ok, try this:

Don't brush your hair before you eat. Once you are eating (hopefully something that contains milk, syrup, or egg yolk) wipe the food all over your hair. Wait till it dries... now brush it through with your fingers and you are ready to go.

I do this with my hair whenever i don't know how to fix it. It makes it look so yummy.
