Hair color issues...?

I have naturally dirty blonde hair but i like it darker...now i'm trying to get back to my lighter hair color by using box dyes going lighter and lighter. the bottom layer of hair near my neck won't lighter up and my roots get lighter but the ends stay darker. it's like it fades from light to dark on the way down..how can i fix this?

Stop using box color!!!!!!!! You are seriously damaging your hair. Color will not lift color so no box color is never going to lightner your hair. You need to leave color work to professionals thats what we went to school for.

go to a hairdresser if can't afford it try using a highlighting dye on the ends only. since the roots are still dark it seems the dye is building up on the ends. hope this helps

Like they have been saying go to a saloon. They will fix it to the exact color you want it. I did the same thing only the different dyes reacted to each other so now I have an odd color of hair, so I'm getting it fixed.
