Hairstyles to make hair thinner??

is there any kind of haircut that a hairdresser can do to make hair thinner?

ive heard of thinning but i dont know how it looks like. can you provide pics if possible.

would layers make hair appear thinner?

ty in advance

Hairstyles to make hair thinner??

yes it will make it look thinner..........also if it is like really stright it makes hair look thinner

Hairstyles to make hair thinner??

Go for a layer cut.

Hairstyles to make hair thinner??

Yes. They can "undercut" it and thin it. Layers definitely help. I don't have any pictures, but think of Amanda Bynes and the long layers in her hair in "What A Girl Wants". You can still have long hair and have it thinned out. I hope this helps. Good luck!

Hairstyles to make hair thinner??

i ALWAYS get my hair thinned out, it looks good!!! and layers!

Hairstyles to make hair thinner??

yes layers does make your hair look thinner i know this because my hair is kind of thick and the look works.

Hairstyles to make hair thinner??

You're gonna want to ask ur hairdresser to use either a razor or thinning shears to remove bulk from your haircut. Avoid (BLUNT CUTS) which are 0 degrees or horizontal. ~plan, straight across~ You can get nice long layers, but if the texture of your hair is THICK...cutting the hair too short will only make your hair more frizzy and harder to maintain SO keep a nice shoulder length cut or longer with LONG LAYERS then taper or thin your ends! Good Luck!!!

Hairstyles to make hair thinner??

There's a website called The Hairstylist.com. They have tons of hairstyles you can choose from. Only if you register on the website. There's a section on the website called Hairstyle Search. In that section of the website, you can choose to have your hair thick or thin. Curly or straight. They will tell you which hairstyle is right for you. It wiIl show images on the screen of different hairstyles. I strongly recommend this website and it will help you a lot!

If you have long hair and get it layered, how do you think it would look?

long, dark brown, thick hair down to my tail bone.

thinking about getting it layered.

would it look ok?

do you think you would even be able to tell?

and what is the meaning of getting your hair layered anyway?

If you have long hair and get it layered, how do you think it would look?

cut your hair up to middle of your back and get layered. it wil look better thn leaving it at your tail bone.

you shouold be able to tell especially if you blow dry it nicely

If you have long hair and get it layered, how do you think it would look?

i think that if you have your hair that long, you should cut it before layering it otherwise you wont see the layers. people get layers because it looks more mature and nice if you do it properly.

If you have long hair and get it layered, how do you think it would look?

it looks good

when mine was a little past the middle of my back i got it layered, it turned out really good

just don't get the layers started under your ears unless the hair length is around your chest. get the layers started around halfway between the end of your hair and the top of your ears

If you have long hair and get it layered, how do you think it would look?

Well, I don't know about the meaning. I'm guessing it is a way of thinning out your hair. If that isn't the meaning, well, it does that as a result anyway. You would definately be able to tell. Your hair won't be as thick and it'll have a lot more movement. As for how it looks, it'll look good! Layering is something that anyone can pull off, no matter their hair length. My hair was about the same length as yours when I layered it and I love it. I think it looks way better than before. It just has more life! Good luck.

If you have long hair and get it layered, how do you think it would look?

sure it'll look fine, esp if ur face is slim it'll look perfect.

If you have long hair and get it layered, how do you think it would look?

Step 1. Cut straight it about mid-back

Step 2. Keep your layers about 1/2 to 1 inch apart, this will create that thining effect.

Step 3. Keep the shortest layer no shorter than below your shoulders

Step 4. Your layers should not be stick straight across, they should take the razor to your ends and blend then together, kind of like this zig-zag motion.

Step 5. To keep hair from getting heavy, use a LIGHT conditioner and use a dandruff shampoo about twice a week to keep up the shine.

Step 6. Trim it yourslef about once a month. Get it re-layered every 6-8 weeks, or else it starts to look weird.

Good Luck!

Hair highlights??

i was wondering if anyone would happen to know of any great websites to look at examples of different highlights on brunettes. or a few good pictures of some. i was looking to leave my natural brown color and get a darker brown on the bottom/longer layers. my hair is a light brown. or i might put some caramel in it. if anyone has a great website or pictures to help me out that would be great, i can't find any good examples.

thanks! =D

Hair highlights??

There is a magazine called 101 Hairstyles that I always buy. It has all kinds of different haircuts and color advise with tons of pictures.

Hair highlights??

hi, i just got highlights and i was sssooo scared that it would not come out the way i wanted. but i love them!! =] i went to photobucket.com and i searched for highlights and thats where i found the color i wanted.

Hair highlights??

whatever you do, do not ask for black. I had light brown hair and wanted to get darker highlights in it and i wanted like a dark brown and black and my whole hair turned black. its the most difficult color to remove. so just stay away!!!

Black Hair Growth?

I am black and have relaxed hair. My hair length is just touching the begining of my back. Also my hair is layered, and I have bangs. I'm taking care of it but I want it grow faster. Any tips

Black Hair Growth?

Hair grows from inside out. You must have hair vitamins. Hair must be trimmed every 4-6 weeks. Conditioning always.

Some type of hair food or grease light to medium.

Black Hair Growth?

There is 2 choices you can cut it all off and your hair will grow twice as fast as if you had a relaxer or you could take pills continuiesly. If you decide to start ocer and cut it of you could end up with hair like this http://www.naani.com/contents/media/drea... and straighten it occasinaly which will be quite long. Only if you take care of it and such. If you decide to cut it a off you can email me and i will give you more tips

Black Hair Growth?

My hair was shorter than yours and over a period of 4 years it was half way down my back (12 - 14 in long), but it dropped b/c of the intense humidity where I now reside.

I had to cut it and condition it. I hardly use heat irons and when I use a blow dryer I blow ONLY my roots, so my ends don't split. Every night I treat it with a light treatment on my roots and wrap it with a silk wrap.

I don't use gels, weaves, nor do I bleach my hair.

The main tip though is to always trim your hair every 6 weeks and condition it. You must see a difference.

Black Hair Growth?

what helps my hair grow is shampoo and conditioners, less than 4 relaxers a year, not too much grease, flat iron once a week and wrapping my hair...you should give it a try it works for me :D

Hair extensions questionnnn.?

'Kay, I just got the real human hair and such, and the glue from my mom's friends' hair place. So it didnt cost me anyhting, yayy. :D ANYWAY. I'm going to do it myself with the help of my mom, because I cannot afford going to the salon and whatnot.

I think I'm going to glue it near the bottom of my head, on the first layer of hair near my hairline, under all the other hair. The thing is - do I glue it on the HAIR or kinda on the SCALP?

Thanks. :]

Hair extensions questionnnn.?

on the scalp it last longer and looks more real, if you glue it on your hair it will slip fast or come out very easy when pulled.

but glue dose pull your hair out so when you do take it out don't be surprised when you see some of your hair come out, ITS best if you get a sow in.

Hair extensions questionnnn.?

The Roots Of Your Hair You Clue It On..

Hair extensions questionnnn.?

You glue it on the hair root mostly on the scalp along the parting. Use a blow dryer to secure the glue after you've applied it to the scalp and track. Keep pressing on it until it's fixed to the head.

Hair extensions questionnnn.?

Try to get it as close to the scalp and still some on the roots of your hair.

I suggest clip in...

:P

Curly hair styles for school?

I have medium-lengthed hair, some layers, very curly..

I'd prefer to wear it down, and please don't suggest straightening it :) my hair doesn't really look good completely down, unless anyone has any tips to make it look right? thanks!

Curly hair styles for school?

First of all, way to go for not straightening it! Embrace your curls.

As for my personal suggestion, here's what I do. After I get out of the shower, I LIGHTLY towel dry my hair. Then, I squirt some mousse into my hands and run it through my hair and scrunch. (Sometimes I need more than 1 squirt.) Any kind of mousse will do, I think. You don't need the expensive kind. Then I usually follow up with Herbal Essances spray gel over that and let it air dry. (For me, blowdrying makes me look like Bozo the clown, but in the winter, you might want to dry it before going out.)

Then, for extra help on those frizzy days, I have been using Biosilk Silkening Balm AFTER ITS COMPLETELY DRY (not before or it gets sticky.)

Finally, if your hair doesn't work well with this procedure, since all curly hair is a bit different, check out www.naturallycurly.com. It's a great site with all kinds of advice, and will make you feel better about your curls.

Good luck!

Curly hair styles for school?

try to put some gel in it

Curly hair styles for school?

OMG... yes you can wear curly hair to school. i love wearing it curly. and i know what you mean about straighening it. def. a hassel. try using something to tame it. rather than straightening it run something like detangler or super skinny serum through it. you can find it any almost all salons

Curly hair styles for school?

From a girl with curly hair....let it go natural. With a good cut, it will look great letting it dry naturally. I just use my fingers for combing through as it is drying. Everyone tells me they would love to have my hair! I'm sure you will get lots of complements also.

Curly hair styles for school?

I unlike many ppl hav a wonderful hair type its wavy. i can make it curly or straght without much hassle. so i cant really help u with this one.

Curly hair styles for school?

My hair is EXACTLY the same. What i do is:

- wash it with extra conditioning products

-put oil through only the ends when its damp

-braid it tightly to keep the curl and frizz down at night

-in the morning, once its dry, i blow dry the inside and the curled ends as straight as possible with out a flat iron

-then use a light oil hair lotion on the ends and frizzies

This turns out more wavy than curly, and blow drying the inside makes it appear longer than the rest of your hair and takes away some of the body.

After these steps I usually wear some my hair twisted back, or pin my bangs kind of to the side and back.

Curly hair styles for school?

Try wearing it half up half down. This usually works for me. And instead of using gel try using Boilage Hydo Foaming Mousse. It works well and make hair bouncy. And plus it doesn't leave build-up. It's sold at most professional salons and at sometimes you can spot it at Rite-aid.

Curly hair styles for school?

Lucky you I have straight hair and have to use rollers to make it curly

What color hilites or lowlites w/ black hair?

I have dark brown asian hair %26amp; pale skin. I recently got it cut in short choppy layers w/ bangs like 1st pic and I was thinking about getting hilights in a blondish brown or reddish brown color but I don't want it to contrast too much. I never dyed my hair b4 my parents wouldnt let me get it dyed too much. I originally really wanted something like the 1st pic but it would look weird for an asian kid to have mostly blonde hair. So maybe if the color was changed? I dont wanna dye the whole top 2 much in a diff color

OR

I was also thinking about getting hilights like the 2nd pic but Im stuck between that reddish hue and a blondish one. My hairs really layered so I want hilights on the first few layers and keep the bottom layer dark. Would it look good on shorter hair? Cuz I wanna hilite it like in the bangs on the 1st pic (layers), not strands like the 2nd. Do I need to bleach it? I'm in highschool.

What color hilites or lowlites w/ black hair?

I AGREE WITH LIL'MAMMA!!!!! red high lights fade really quickly and look awful. go for warm caramel colours, have them put in just under the top layer of your hair that way when your hair grows you cant see the roots therefore you wont have to have it done so often saving you money!!!! my dad is asian so i have almost black hair and warm browny caramel colours always look really nice. good luck babe xx

What color hilites or lowlites w/ black hair?

i know some people who have black hair nd they have reddish/brown highlights that look really good on them

What color hilites or lowlites w/ black hair?

hmmmm.......i think that reddish color looked pretty good on you,or you could just try hilites with a kinda honey blondish brown color..alotta my friends have done that :D

What color hilites or lowlites w/ black hair?

I WOULDNT DO RED, IT FADES QUICKLY AND TURNS AN ORANGEISH PINK AFTER A WH ILE, ITS ALOT OF UP KEEP. IF YOU DONT WANT TO DO ALLL BLONDE, TRY DOING A PRETTY CARAMEL COLOR. HOPE I HELPED YA OUT!

Would a brunette with a long face look good with a side bang with layers(my hair is medium length)?

Everyone looks good with side bangs. Side bangs...or any kind of bangs..would help to break up a long face. To try it out, try taking a bobby pin and folding part of your hair (The part that would be your bangs) until they're the right length. Once you "new bangs" are against your face, you'll kind of be able to see what you'll look like. Real side bangs will look wayyyyyyyy better though.

Would a brunette with a long face look good with a side bang with layers(my hair is medium length)?

It sounds good...try it.

Would a brunette with a long face look good with a side bang with layers(my hair is medium length)?

well you will never know until you try right?? i'm guessing yes tho

Would a brunette with a long face look good with a side bang with layers(my hair is medium length)?

yeah it should look fine.. try something new.. if it doesnt work.. get it will grow back

Would a brunette with a long face look good with a side bang with layers(my hair is medium length)?

The only way to really find out is to try it and see how it looks on you. It's just hair, so it will grow back. If you don't like the way it looks put it in a pony tail or something.

Would a brunette with a long face look good with a side bang with layers(my hair is medium length)?

Take a pic of the style to the salon%26amp; get a consultation. (They,re free ) Then after you talk to the stylist, make an appointment. I'm sure she should have some really good suggestions for you, There are lots of style out there with those side bangs,I'm sure there would be one that would work out for you! Good Luck!

Would a brunette with a long face look good with a side bang with layers(my hair is medium length)?

If you layer you hair like Jennifer Anestin, where the layers start at your chin, it will make your face seem shorter. that will be a cute look for you

I've had long, straight brown hair for ages and I want to get it cut in a different style. Any

Pictures would be appreciated. I don't want bangs/a fringe. I definitely want to keep my hair long and straight, should I get it layered? However, my hair's pretty fine so layers would probaby make it look even thinner... And also, would a dark blonde/light brown hair colour look OK with brown eyes and light skin? Lol sorry about my fussiness.

I've had long, straight brown hair for ages and I want to get it cut in a different style. Any suggestions?

You're right, cutting layers into fine hair will make it look thinner on the bottom (unless you have a lot of hair).

Since you don't want to cut the length, it really sounds like getting it cut for a different style is impossible, unless you want to get bangs.

Color would definitely be a fun way to make a change; go for lowlights as well as highlights.

Since I don't know what shade brown hair you have, suffice to say you can have highlights in a lighter color (blonde), and lowlights in a darker color (dark brown), or even another color (red).

The more colors, the more interesting! Of course, it has to be complementary to your skin coloring. (The wrong color hair can bring out all the flaws in your complexion.)

A professional color stylist is your best bet, to find out what colors would be best.

Layers for my wavy hair..?

hi, i want to get layers, but not sure if my mum will let me. i'm 13. I'm one of the only people in my class who doesnt have them..and i want to get them..i have quite thick wavy to straight hair! any ideas! length? and do i have to go to a stylist for them? thanks!

Layers for my wavy hair..?

og come on... jus becuz evry 1 else has them doesnt mean u have to to. be a leadre not a folower.. what i truly think u should do is to get super curly curls and a haircut.... not onlii will u b seting yer own trends but youll attract more attention.

Layers for my wavy hair..?

I have very thick hair and got layers, it just made my hair thicker... I hated it

Layers for my wavy hair..?

You should go to a stylist to get layers unless you have some experience cutting your own hair. I think you are old enough to get layers. My hair is curly and I have them, love them.

Layers for my wavy hair..?

If you want a professional cut then go to someone that knows what they're doing. Don't go to joe blow for a cut. And why would your mom not let u? It's your hair, and it will grow back. Not like you're getting a mohawk or tattoo or something.

Layers for my wavy hair..?

Well if you hair looks hair looks like anything in your avatar i owuld because if it is that short you cant. But if you look different go for it! You can totally get them but you do have to go to a sylist

good luck

Layers for my wavy hair..?

i have think wavy medium layered hair wit bangs

the hair is a bit longer than my neck

Layers for my wavy hair..?

You should go somewhere and get them done. Having them thin it and straightening it might help.

Layers for my wavy hair..?

WHY DO YOU WANT TO FOLLOW EVERYBODY

Layers for my wavy hair..?

It would probably be best to get it done at a stylist.

My hair is wavy and I have it layered. The longest layer is below the middle of my back. The shortest layer is just below my shoulders. They can layer you hair any length you want. If you don't want it thick at the bottom be sure to tell the stylist when you get it cut. My hair is so thick and the last time I had mine cut the woman cut it so that it would be thicker at the bottom. She was new and didn't know what I liked. I sure wish that I'd told her.

Layers for my wavy hair..?

Hey i have wavy hair. I got layers in college and it was terrible. I had to paste my hair with mousse and gel so that it didn't have fly aways. I waited till it grew a little and then cut it to one level. only way you can work with layers is for straight hair (unfortunately) if you can blow dry straight everyday it can work. But if not it will get puffy and have lots or flyaways.

Layers for my wavy hair..?

Go the magazine section and find one of those hairstyle mags. Look at different styles with your hair texture. Good luck, sweetie.

Layers for my wavy hair..?

Yes, go to a hair stylist for them. As far as length, I have long wavy hair. My shortest layer is at my shoulder and they look really pretty when my hair is down. So, you definitely could get them and they would look good! It will take some of the weight off your head, too, if you struggle with headaches. I did, and just getting layers was enuf off to help reduce the weight of my hair. Good luck and hope your mum lets you get them!:-)

Layers for my wavy hair..?

i have wavy hair just like yours and i tried that whole layered look and it didnt work out. trust me. in the front of my head a the hair line of the middle part, it started poofing out like a water fountain. the layers u could barley see! the wavyness just covers that up! and wen u ponytail ur hair not all of it stays up unless u get long layers. but no point of a haircut if u just get it styled!

Layers for my wavy hair..?

I have the same hair type as you, if you want your hair thinned out then layers worked for me, tell your hair dresser that you want the layers to make your hair thinner, because alot of volume comes back once you've washed your hair, i think they look really good. If you are unsure about what your parents will say, don't get lots of layers and show them a picture of what you want done.

hope this helps =]

Need a new hair style...?

Ok I have shoulder length brownish blonde hair with layers... It's wavy in a bad way... but i can straighten it pretty easy and it takes to curls easily too... I need ideas for a new do... something that fits my style.... It's punk/emo/scene/indie or whatever the heck you wanna call it....

Need a new hair style...?

youtube has alot of good ones just search hair tutorials or this one girl seems to have some pretty cool ideas

If i layer my hair will it look thicker if my hair is straight?

Yes, layers will give your hair more body

If i layer my hair will it look thicker if my hair is straight?

yes it will. The more layers you get the thicker. Your hair will also flip out too, so if you like straight hair, you'll have to straighten it. My hair goes to my shoulders, and it's very thick because it is layered. On some days it goes to about 3 inches out, which pretty much proves, it gets thicker. LOL

good luck

If i layer my hair will it look thicker if my hair is straight?

it will make your hair look thicker only because everytime you layer your hair it gives the alusion that you have more hair than you do..so yes...

+%26amp; anyways good choice! on layering your hair

If i layer my hair will it look thicker if my hair is straight?

I had one length straight hair and I had mine layered last week it's got so much body now and it really swings when I move, and it looks so much thicker now too.

If i layer my hair will it look thicker if my hair is straight?

Yes. Please help answer my questions : )

Looking for a new hair style?

If your hair is wavy, but not pretty waves a good way to get pretty waves is:

dry your hair upside down untill it's 90% dry, then Get a large barrel curling iron and curl your hair around the OUTSIDE of it. (don't use the clasp) Then use your finger and gently tossel your waves, and spray all over with hairspray.

(For thicker hair sometimes it's better to pull half of your hair up and style the underneath, then do the top.)

What style to have my hair when im letting layers grow out?

I have qute thick just past shoulder length hair which have layers which the shortest is at the cheakbone. Im trying to grow my layers out for my wedding in August but in the meantime i want to have my hair cut into another style. I want to keep my length as im growing it for the wedding. Any ideas on styles please? as whilst my layers are growing out my hair looks horrible.

What style to have my hair when im letting layers grow out?

The only way to grow out layers is to get your hair cut . You need to cut more off of you length than in your layers each time, so that the two meet. If you don't want to take a lot off each time, just take 1/2 inch off your length, and 1/4 inch off of your layers every 6 weeks. Many think to just not cut the layers at all. Your layers will become split and will look horrible and cosequently won't grow out as the hair is splitting and breaking up the hair shaft. I usually use the above method, and texturize the layers that are growing out to give them a softer look as they grow out. I hope this helps. I am an experience NYC hairstylist, and this is the only way to get rid of layers.

What style to have my hair when im letting layers grow out?

tie it up till it grows

What style to have my hair when im letting layers grow out?

Hello there.. I'm a hairdresser/salon owner.. best bet is to go for a bob shape.. keep getting the ends cut off every 6 weeks but tell them to leave the layers and try to incorporate the growing layers into the main length.. try not to get the layering trimmed as it will slow down the desired result..

Is it a good idea to get layers in your hair??

i have long hair past my shoulders and i straigten it regurlarly any ideas please help

Is it a good idea to get layers in your hair??

Without knowing your hair type and your facial features its difficult to say, but in general:

Long layers in long hair are very 'in' right now.

The layers add texture, volume and 'interest' to your style.

They make the style less 'heavy'; if your hair is thick it becomes more manageable and easier to style.

So, basically, it's generally a good idea!

Is it a good idea to get layers in your hair??

yes i have layers in my hair and it adds texture and volume, depends on your face shape really.

Is it a good idea to get layers in your hair??

not if its curly or wavy, i had layer once (my hairs thick + mad + wavycurlthingbushish) and it made it go mental. but if its like straight, go for it

Is it a good idea to get layers in your hair??

straighting it is so bad for your hair. try not to do it to often. the layers are a good idea though

Is it a good idea to get layers in your hair??

i dont think u gave enough details for anyone to really tell but if your hair is thin it is a better idea then if your hair is thick then dont do it if your hair is thick. poeple will tell u that it will help but it makes it worse.

Is it a good idea to get layers in your hair??

yeah it will sort of volumise it

Is it a good idea to get layers in your hair??

yes layers add volume!

Is it a good idea to get layers in your hair??

Layers are nice and make your hair more intresting . But you straighten your hair a lot. If you have lots of split ends layers seem to make them stand out more.

Do long layers work with long hair?

My hair is a little over half way down my back and I'm getting it cut tomorrow and i was wondering if getting it layered with long layers would work out with straightening it and if there are a variety of styles to do with it that way. Does it stay straight with layers in it?

Do long layers work with long hair?

my hair is longer than yours- it reaches almost to my belt. I have chunky layers cut into it, the shortest starting a little bit below my shoulders, and then one more mid back. i don't have any problem straightening it, i never have and I've had various lengths of long hair and layers for years now.

Do long layers work with long hair?

i have long hair and i love my layers !!!! you can do so much with it.

Do long layers work with long hair?

I think layers would be a good idea.

If you have thick hair- on the top especially and are looking to make it thinner- you can use certain shampoos or you can tell any hairstylist to thin it out. =]

Hair styling and make up advice for a novice?

hi everyone, i am going for a formal occasion tomorrow and want to know how to style my hair and apply basic make up at home. All i have is a blow drier, dove hair spray, concealer, lipstick and kajal. i have shoulder length wavy hair in layers that can come up in a short ponytail. please do help!

Hair styling and make up advice for a novice?

Wash your hair and dry it straight with your hair dryer. Just put consealer under your eyes, no lipstick, a litttle bit of concealer on your lips. less is always best. Have fun!

Hair styling and make up advice for a novice?

I thought a novice was a step on the way to becoming a nun. Are nuns allowed makeup and long hair now?

Hair styling and make up advice for a novice?

Well Best thing I can tell you about makeup is that LESS IS MORE, makeup should look like you're not wearing any. that is that it shoud blend and subtilely accent your natural features. you're not getting glitzed up to walk a runway or go out dancing so keep it minimal.

Your hair, just do it up like you do on a regular basis, people aren't going to be expecting major changes. Maybe find a pretty clip or a bow or something to put in it, and don't make it bulletproof w/ hardspray. I mean hairspray.

Hair styling and make up advice for a novice?

I'd do an updo with the hair and makeup needs to be minimal anyway. You don't want to look like a floozy.

What about Sunsilk Anti-flat?

http://www.gethairapy.com/products/

Here's a link to get a free sample.

http://www.gethairapy.com/samples/

Sunsilk volumizing shampoo is great, so you could try that.

In addition, a volumizing mousse (Sunsilk, Herbal Essences, etc.) can help. Instead of applying it all through your hair, try sectioning parts of your hair and rubbing the mousse into the roots. Then, flip your head over upside down and blow dry. If you do this at night instead of the day, do it before bed and use a plastic claw-clip to clip up the top section of your hair while you sleep (put it on the TOP of you head, not the back).

If you need to reactivate your product in the evening because your hair went flat during the day, try rubbing some water into the roots where the mousse was, and then blow-drying a little more.

As for teasing, have you tried sectioning it off and teasing the underside so that the top stays smooth? You could try doing that, but spraying it with hairspray after you tease it, flipping your hair over (head upside down) and then letting it dry. It's drastic, but it may work.

Hair problems. please help!! 閳?

Teasing it will help a little. Blowdrying it up with a round brush will help a little too.

Hair problems. please help!! 閳?

if you dye it -and highlight it- its so much fuller ---seems to keep getting thicker the more you dye too. try a 3 barrel waver -instead of a flat iron. flat hair tends to look thinner

Hair problems. please help!! 閳?

blow dry your hair upside down! it helpes alot!!

Hair problems. please help!! 閳?

i had the SAME problem as you, my hair is thin. very thin. but, there are ways to make it look cute. people with thin hair should cut their hair abouttt..to their shoulders, or a little longer and layer it it makes it look thicker. i have some aussie sprunch spray, works GREAT, you spray it on dry hair and sprunch it haa. or, some root lifter, spay it on your roots and sprunch it, its a messy thick hair look.

Hair problems. please help!! 閳?

Use shampoo that is designed to give your hair more volume, or a hair product such as Sunsilk Anti-Flat. You can always try to curl your hair as well; curls, even loose curls, can give your hair more volume - or at least appear to.

Good luck!

XOXO,

Laurie

Hair problems. please help!! 閳?

try to curl it or use moose to make it wavy..whatever you do don't straighten it you should try to use volumenizing shampoo it works

Hair problems. please help!! 閳?

Wash your hair with a voluminizing shampoo like herbal essences body envy. It will help to make your hair appear thicker and to have more volume.

Hope this helps!

Hair problems. please help!! 閳?

I've done this to people a million times. When you're blowing your hair dry, separate it like you're putting in curlers. With each little section you pull up to dry, spray the roots with hairspray and make sure it's dry before you let go. Using a round brush is perfect for this.

Just pull the hair straight up ( bride of Frankenstein style), and spray the roots. It should make your layers look amazing.I really hope it works for you.

Hair problems. please help!! 閳?

a short blunt cut makes the hair look its thickest... a bob is a good cut for thin fine hair

Hair problems. please help!! 閳?

u sould try come special medical sampoo, my aunt had the same problem she used some medical shampoo, and that really improved her hair.

i hope my answer helps u

bye

hace a nice dayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Hair problems. please help!! 閳?

my friend has the same problem. What she does is she washes her hair with volumizing shampoos that are meant to boost up and lift your roots, I would HIGHLY suggest salon products, they absolutly work. Than put some root lifting mousse in hair and blowdry hair with your head down, so when you flip you hair back up it doesnt appear flat. Than If your hair is frizzy DO NOT apply serums or anti-frizz serums, they just tend to oil up your hair, apply a small amount of conditioner or leave-in conditioner and than curl your hair or striaghten or wave or what ever and THAN you could apply a small amount of anti-frizz serum. I reallllllyyy hope i helped!

Hair problems. please help!! 閳?

Try using a volume shampoo I try to stay away from it because I have VERY thick hair. But Herbal essance is wonderful for volume

How can i cut my own hair into layers with a razor? so it flips out?

You can't. That takes training and practice. Nobody could tell you how to do it over the internet. And most hairdressers wouldn't even attempt to cut their own hair.

How can i cut my own hair into layers with a razor? so it flips out?

ok.. just get layers done, and buy yurslef a ROLLER BRUSH, then just use it to flip yur ends out by running the brush through yur hair in a specific way.... just experiment....

http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee92/...

or this one??

http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee92/...

please help me tq!!

Can you tell what's best for my hair?

If your hair is rough and wavy, you should not cut your hair like that... It's a hell of a lot of work and you will always have to style it with a hot tool every time you shampoo/your hair gets wet. It will be especially difficult to control during the summer. And layers, for that matter, don't work as well on curly hair. Also, your bangs will be frizzy.

Grow your hair to about shoulder length and cut it all to the same length. Your styling options will be more versatile. You'll be able to go straight or curly depending on your mood and time.

Can you tell what's best for my hair?

I think you should get layers, with side bangs.

It'sreally trendy at the moment and should help to make you look older.

Hope this helps

Does layering your hair or getting it angled make it frizzy/curly?

I want to get mine angled but it's naturally wavy (I straighten it). Also it's really long and the hair at the bottom gets kinda dry and frizzy. Would getting it angled make it even more so? thanks!

Does layering your hair or getting it angled make it frizzy/curly?

not necessarly. sometimes the ends will flip out, but nothing a flat iron can't handle! :)

Does layering your hair or getting it angled make it frizzy/curly?

No it just makes ur hair grow faster and if u dont use the right products it will

Does layering your hair or getting it angled make it frizzy/curly?

No it would not i wondered the same thing but it really helps!!!

Does layering your hair or getting it angled make it frizzy/curly?

No, from my experience, it actually makes less frizzy and curly. besides, they could just trim ends, and it will look so healthy!

Does layering your hair or getting it angled make it frizzy/curly?

i just got my hair layered and it looks great now my hair also is long and to stop the dryness at the ends i put Aussie 3 min. Marcile in it especially at the ends, but other conditioners will work too.

P.S. Get long layers

Does layering your hair or getting it angled make it frizzy/curly?

Its makes it a little curlier unless you have really straight hair like me, i wanted to make it curlier so i got it layered like my friend did and hers turned out curly but mine didnt so it mostly depends on the hair hers was always a little curly but now its more curly i don't know about the frizzy part because my hair never gets frizzy sorry that wasn't much of a help

Bad hair problems!~SOS!?

currently, my hair is this:

http://img444.imageshack.us/img444/4826/...

(in ponytail)

when i wash my hair %26amp; dried, it's like this:

http://img529.imageshack.us/img529/959/p...

I am asian, i have naturally black hair, my hair got layered 2 times in the past two years and i ususally straighten my hair (ceramic). i usually tie my hair up.

what can i do to fix these problems for a long time? i'm tired of my poofy hair. (actually, my botttom layers are okay, it's just my top layers. the ends are poofy). i get tired of using the straightener alot-its bad for hair, anyways. my goal is to get straight, shiny and sleek hair.

help please!

Bad hair problems!~SOS!?

Keeping your layers will stop the bulk/weight of your hair, the more layers, the less bulk/weight there is making it in your words less poofy.

Use Redken shampoo %26amp; Conditioner for dry hair, this will add essential oils back into your hair to calm it down to make it less poofy.

Also get some olive oil smooth over damp hair pull hair up ontop of your head %26amp; place cling film around the hair only like a turben.

put the dryer on it while wrapped for 3 mins afterwards rinse off with warm water not hot.

Bad hair problems!~SOS!?

Buy a protective straightening iron spray- They have them at most salons. Keep layering to repair your hair. A simple relaxer can help with the poofy, or even a good leave in conditioner. Stay away from balms, I think they look gross.

Bad hair problems!~SOS!?

i am asian too..

try applying mousse after taking a bath then blow dry it..

don't air dry ur hair ok,it's bad for the hair...always blowdry when wet but not too hot bec. u'll damage it..(Then u can iron it,don't iron one sopt for too long)

try applying baby lotion (this is a celebrity secret) on your hair to make it sleek...

try not to use pony tail too much too coz when u take it off, there's like that wavy spot in the middle that shows

Bad hair problems!~SOS!?

With your ethnicity its a easy thing trust me. I am a white girl with really curly hair. I wish I could get my hair permanently straightened and well you can cause of your thick hair. It wont fry like mine will. Just talk to all the salons in your area and see what the price range is for your hair length. It can cost allot so don't get shocked there. But in the long run it will help with the split ends and then there is less time to fix it.

How do I make my hair stay poofy?

I have a lot of layers (scene hair) and I tease it after putting garnier hairwax in it and then finish off with garnier hairspray. My problem is, that the poofyness lasts for like an hour (plus I have to walk a while to my bus in the morning and the wind isn't very helpful) and then it goes flat. How can I make it stay poofy?

How do I make my hair stay poofy?

There is a product called DAX, it's about $3 at most grocery stores in the ethnic hair section. My hair is fine and super straight. This is the only product I have found that does not make my hair go flat or look limp and oily.. it really works. Just put a small glob on your finger tips and put it where you want/ various places all over your head. I use it for texture and piecey messy look. It stays all day. occasionally i re-plump with my fingers. If you want something else there is a hairspray called glue or cement or something like that,I know the boys at school used for Mohawk day. Worked great! Alsp Paul Mitchell Freeze and Shine.

Good luck

How do I make my hair stay poofy?

You want it to stay poofy? I spend all my time trying to make it not poofy!

I know someone and she just doesnt wash her hair for awhile so the hairspray hardens.

How do I make my hair stay poofy?

You can either use hairspray, or you can put a clip in the back of your head under your head to make it look poofy.

How do I make my hair stay poofy?

Buy a volumizer

How do I make my hair stay poofy?

Don't use the hair wax that is waying down your hair. Your better off to put mousse in your hair. Blow dry your hair upside down which will help give fullness. If you have to use wax only use it on the ends of your hair not the roots.

How do I make my hair stay poofy?

Are you serious, anyone know how to get rid of the poof?

How do I make my hair stay poofy?

After getting out of the shower, let your hair natrually dry untill it is damp. Then flip your head upside down and blowdry your hair while your head is flipped. Then after the bottom is dry flip your head right side up and blowdry the front. spray your hair with hair spray and it will stay. Mine stays even if I sleep with it like that

How do I make my hair stay poofy?

Dyed my hair professionally but want a lighter color. How to fix?

This is my 1st time dyeing my hair hence, I am very new to hair dying so bare with me lol. My hair is naturally black (turns really dark brown in sun, not blue) and I got the bottom half layer of hair dyed a warm brown. I thought it would come out a brown but it came out a fairly dark brown. It's not very noticable and I want it to be a bit lighter. I don't want to dye my hair again. What will happen if I wash with regular shampoo (instead of shampoo made for dyed hair)? Or would shampoos for sustaining light brown or blonde hair lighten it? Someone told me that John Frieda's shampoo for brown hair would lighten it. Can you recommend some specific products?

-- I'm not sure what double bleaching looks like so can someone tell me if that is what my hair dresser did? She first put the white-ish dye stuff in my hair and waited for about 45 minutes (but the color didn't show) and then put more in for about 30 minutes. She massaged it in and then rinsed it out.

Dyed my hair professionally but want a lighter color. How to fix?

sounds like she just used plain ol' bleach..

you can buy that yourself and leave it on longer (but i wouldnt recommend it)

nope..diff shampoo isnt going to fade it unless it used to be lighter and you put color on top of it..then it makes the color fade... but it wont help if it was already dark to begin w/

hang out in the sun if that helps you or go to the tanning bed? if you like going...by all means dont get skin cancer because of this answer though.. hehe

that's all i know of, unless you just bleach it some more!

Dyed my hair professionally but want a lighter color. How to fix?

i also have dark hair so dying it a lighter clolour usually doesnt work. i reckon u should ask ur hairdresser to highlight that piece, she should put a lot (depending on u) of thin highlights there then dye it that way u will see the difference. if u worried about ruining ur hair just use a good treatment after dying in. i suggest v05 hot oil it works like a charm

goodluck

Dyed my hair professionally but want a lighter color. How to fix?

The very best thing for you to do, is go back to where you had it done and tell them you are NOT happy! They will redo it for free and your problem will be solved.

There's NO shampoo that I've ever heard of that will make it lighter.

Just go back....Things like this happen all the time, and salons are used to re dos to make their customers happy.

Just DO NOT attempt anything on your own! You're only asking for trouble if you do that.

Dyed my hair professionally but want a lighter color. How to fix?

When hair has been lightened it cant go back to darker with out adding more color. Your natural haircolor has been lifted out and remved. Regular shampoo will Just not protect your chemically processed has as much.

Dyed my hair professionally but want a lighter color. How to fix?

Shampoos do not color or lighten hair per say. You need either A, get it died back to the original color as close as possible, but give it a month or two to recondition or B, get our hair dresser to bleach and die it a different color again after giving it time to restore condition first. The answer to the your bleaching question; yes it was and has to be bleached first going from darker to lighter. It is like creating a clean canvas to paint on.

Condition with Matrix Bio and V05 hot oil treatments

Also, have your hairdresser do a sample strand next time...

Sorry, my mom ran a salon out our home when I was growing up....learned a few things...good luck!

Should i relax my hair'? the roots need it. but im scared because the bottom layer of my hair b

entirely due to over dying it. ive been watching my hair and the part that didnt break looks pretty healthy. i have only been greasing the part that did and it stilllooks pretty bad. can i relax? and should i relax the part that broke off? it broke off maybe a month ago.

Should i relax my hair'? the roots need it. but im scared because the bottom layer of my hair broke off entire

If you are relaxing your hair you never put it on what is already relaxed. You should trim the damaged ends off though. When you do relax it you could apply conditioner to the ends this will just help keep them moist. Please do not relax already relaxed hair. This might cause it to becom heavly damaged and turn to gum. Just relax what needs to be.

Should i relax my hair'? the roots need it. but im scared because the bottom layer of my hair broke off entire

u should cut not even a inch off the back but cutting will help it not die and it will let it grow also u should let your hair relax at night

Should i relax my hair'? the roots need it. but im scared because the bottom layer of my hair broke off entire

if it were me i wouldn't relax any of it, even the healthy looking part. wait a while and let it all get healthy, what ever you've been doin to the healthy part try doin it all over. hair nest rest just like the body.

Should i relax my hair'? the roots need it. but im scared because the bottom layer of my hair broke off entire

No, your hair is to weak to handle a relaxer. Especially if it only broke a month ago. The chemicals from the relaxer will only break the rest of the hair off. You need to go have a professional trim, then do some deep conditioning treatments for a couple of weeks before you even consider putting on a another relaxer.

Should i relax my hair'? the roots need it. but im scared because the bottom layer of my hair broke off entire

Don't grease your hair, it needs moisture, that's probably the reason why it first broke off... Grease is not a moisturizer... don't do anything without first going to blackhairmeida.com

I have a square face and long brown hair with a big cowlick in front on my hair. hairstyles? HELP!!!

My hair is thick and dark brown with long layers. My hair is a couple inches above my elbow. I have a couple of natural highlights. Should I get side swept bangs or regular bangs or just plain old layers. I need help.

I have a square face and long brown hair with a big cowlick in front on my hair. hairstyles? HELP!!!?

the side swept bangs are real hot right now. and if you have a square face, im guessing that you have a larger jawbone and if you just get regular layers it may accentuate y our jaw bone even more. so i would deffinantly say the sidebangs.

I have a square face and long brown hair with a big cowlick in front on my hair. hairstyles? HELP!!!?

Ok, I feel your pain. I have a big cowlick in the front of my hair as well. I fixed that by just parting my hair to suit the cowlick- I also have side bangs which work really well with the cowlick because it makes it look like its supposed to be there. I would reccomend side bangs and keep the layers as well. good luck!

What color highlights look best in dark brown hair??

I wana get my hair highlights..

I however have verrrrry short layered dark brown hair.

about as short as this:

http://www.4hairstyles.com/short/bangs/1...

Would they work??

What color should I get?

Are they hard to maintain?

Should I go buy a kit from a store/

get it done professionally.

I don't exactly have the money however to get my hair highlighted in the ranges of $67.00 and up.

What should I do??

THANKS SOOOOO MUCH!

ox

What color highlights look best in dark brown hair??

I think black or red will look good on you. But mostly Black

What color highlights look best in dark brown hair??

You can highlight your hair yourself. It's not hard. I would suggest auburn/red highlights. It can be as subtle or drastic as you want. Just buy a hair cap, the red hair dye, and pull your hair through. It's really easy and it's not hard to upkeep. Besides, fall is here so the darker hair colors are in...

What color highlights look best in dark brown hair??

try a light brown that matches the undertone of your hair. or you could go for an unnatural color such as blue or purple. it depends on your personality. but make sure the color matches the undertone of your hair and skin. i recommend going to a professional b/c my friend tried to do a kit a month ago and it was a mess. i don't think it costs very much to go to a salon, just make sure you go to a good one, not a chain.

What color highlights look best in dark brown hair??

You can buy a kit from Walmart or Target to do your own highlights. If you would rather do it urself and not go to a salon you might want to have a friend there with you to help out.

You should retouch them about every 3 months.

What color highlights look best in dark brown hair??

I think light brow or blonde would be good for you. Have a friend put them in if you go buy a kit

What color highlights look best in dark brown hair??

maybe try a combo of lowlights and highlights?

What color highlights look best in dark brown hair??

I would suggest getting it professionally done. I know it's cheaper to do it yourself but if you are using bleach (which is very harsh on your hair) it is easy to mess up.

I would have them do caramel highlights with some red.

http://www.ultimatelooks.com/henrymarguc...

http://www.flickr.com/photos/staticfilte...

they both look dramatic in the pictures but if you have them weave the two colors in with foils it will look really good.

What color highlights look best in dark brown hair??

light brown is probably the best color of highlight that would suit u the best......i would suggest that u have it done professionally.

Best Highlights for Dark Brown Hair?

I was thinking of Honeys/Caramel and Light browns. Does anyone have any sites which show you highlight shades?

Also, does anyone have any ideas on how to update my hair style? I currently have long layered, dark brown hair with copper highlights.

I still want rather long hair as I don't think short hair suits me. If you can add links to pictures I'd appreciate it.

Thanks

I need some pix of cute emo/scene hairstyles with different colored layers...my strwbrry blnde hair's boring!!

Well i suggest going either some subtle darker streaks if your looking to color and if you deside to cut it will depend on your face and the style you want to deal with.

Darker is another option, I have been both with my strawberry hair too.

I like the lighter streaks better.

see ya

GIRLS:What color should I dye my hair? I don't know what's in this yr?

I'm goin to have a haircut and hair color. What do you think look best? Highlights or plain? midlength with Bangs or lots of layers. My hair is up to my midback. any suggestion

GIRLS:What color should I dye my hair? I don't know what's in this yr?

The common shades used these days are reds and browns.Hair experts always go for brown and golden streaks for wheatish skin tones.Whereas for fair skin, they go for reddish or purple shades.

Your hair color should suit your complexion. Any hair color will look good on pale skin. If you have pink skin, avoid shades of red or golden blonde. Opt instead for ash tones to neutralize your coloring. Sallow complexion? Stick with deep reds %26amp; avoid yellow, gold or orange tones. If your skin is olive, stick with dark colors %26amp; add richness with lowlights in red or brown shades.

If you have short hair, avoid highlights %26amp; opt for full color. Subtle highlights around your face will brighten your complexion if you have longer hair. Keep in mind that due to root growth, all-over coloring will need to be touched up every 4 to 8 weeks, while highlights can last up to 2 or 3 months.

GIRLS:What color should I dye my hair? I don't know what's in this yr?

long and black with purple/red highlights

GIRLS:What color should I dye my hair? I don't know what's in this yr?

listen girl, you need to go blonde with white highlights, no bangs parted in the middle, and chop that hair... cut it just below your neck on the back

GIRLS:What color should I dye my hair? I don't know what's in this yr?

I like your hair color in the pic. Maybe go darker and put some contrasting blonde highlights in, but not too many.

GIRLS:What color should I dye my hair? I don't know what's in this yr?

I don't think you should follow what everyone else wants to do. You should just try to be an individual.

I do know that straight hair is in, so don't get a perm.

Personally, I would get lavender purple highlights if I had the choice. Go be an individual!

I saw your pic and you are a pretty girl so don't worry about what looks best. Just be yourself.

Good luck!

GIRLS:What color should I dye my hair? I don't know what's in this yr?

Blonde wit light and dark brown streakes

GIRLS:What color should I dye my hair? I don't know what's in this yr?

Go dirty blonde, then have really bleach blonde highlights. do layers in the front and curve to the back. get bangs that swoop across your face... : ]

GIRLS:What color should I dye my hair? I don't know what's in this yr?

i dont think its about wats n i think its more bout wat u like!~

GIRLS:What color should I dye my hair? I don't know what's in this yr?

I depends upon whom you want to please. Are you doing for yourself? Do want to please other females or men?

I always ask my guy friends their opinion before I dye my hair. They don't necessarily like whatever is in style. Girlfriends will always like whatever you do to your hair. We enjoy the change. I even got compliments on my hair when it was glowing bright orange! Most guys like the long straight, no bangs look the best. Most of my male friends seem to think my hair looks best brunette with some red highlights in it.

GIRLS:What color should I dye my hair? I don't know what's in this yr?

cut it to your sholders then dye it 1-2 shades lighter.

then get dark blonde-light brown highlights and layer with bangs

GIRLS:What color should I dye my hair? I don't know what's in this yr?

WHAT ?

GIRLS:What color should I dye my hair? I don't know what's in this yr?

i think that you should dye your hair dark brown but not super dark and sorta underneath put blond- not gross completely white blond but cute caramel/blond!

it will look rlly cute i promise!

GIRLS:What color should I dye my hair? I don't know what's in this yr?

u would look cute with blond.

Does layering your hair make it short at the front?? Thinner??

My hair was very long as a little girl, beautiful color and wonderful length....but it was not layered and that made it oily, thin, and unhealthy.

So i had to cut it...Too this day it has never reached that length again, but I have healthy hair and it is so much fuller in the back! Yet it can still be soft in thin, while still being healthy!

Yes, it does make you hair shorter in the front, but you can choose how thin you want it, that is the plus of it!

The cons of it are that it takes FOREVER to get your old length back, but it is a great idea too keep your old length in the last layer!

Layering my hair has helped me greatly, and it does not damage your hair.

I hope you consider it and that this information has helped you! =D

Does layering your hair make it short at the front?? Thinner??

When you get your hair layered, they just make it choppier all over. It can be shorter anywhere, so be sure to specify to your stylist what you want. If you want your hair thinner, you can ask to get it thinned when you go and get your hair cut.

Does layering your hair make it short at the front?? Thinner??

A layer makes your hair shorter at the longest point graduating up and at the last layer the hair will be fuller, layers work well with all hair types too

Im going to dye the bototm layer of my hair blond. i have light brown hair. any tips? because idk wh

im not going to a salon. but i do not know how im going to go through with it. and.. what type of blonde dye to buy

Im going to dye the bototm layer of my hair blond. i have light brown hair. any tips? because idk what to do.?

okay. the only way to lift the brown out of your hair is to bleach it. "normal" people shouldn't bleach their hair at home more than one-two shades. so having lighter hair is a good thing for you.

get a bleaching kit, not blonde hair dye, because that isn't going to lift the color out of your hair. I don't bleach my own hair often so I'm not sure the best brands. Try going to Sally's and asking them.

if your hair has any red tones in it at all you're going to have to get some toner, also.

so go home and bleach the section that you want blonde and then deep condition it, cause bleach is harsh. ask yourself if it is as light as you want, if not bleach it again in a week (or maybe 3 days if you're impatient .. but condition it a LOT).

once it's as light as you want, you want to get rid of all the oranginess/brassiness. so tone it. and deep condition it again. keep toning until it's the pretty blonde shade you desire. and i can't stress this enough: CONDITION CONDITION CONDITION.

good luck %26lt;3

edit: however, i do recommend you seeking professional hair help. i know they're a lot more pricy than just going out and doing it yourself, but they're a lot less likely to screw up than you are.

Im going to dye the bototm layer of my hair blond. i have light brown hair. any tips? because idk what to do.?

get it done professionally

try an auburn color instead of blonde

Im going to dye the bototm layer of my hair blond. i have light brown hair. any tips? because idk what to do.?

if you want your hair to be funky and modern, dye only the bottom layer, like you were going to. i was going to dye mine red, because i heard that you could dye your hair with kool-aid. it actually worked, but it wasn't as red as i wanted it to be. =/

if you want more information on dyeing your hair with kool-aid, got tp www.grassmoon.com/gratefuldyed

good luck!

Im going to dye the bototm layer of my hair blond. i have light brown hair. any tips? because idk what to do.?

Oh my god! Please don't use boxed bleach that you can buy from Walmart or affiliated stores! You'll regret it in the morning when you wake up bald! Please seek professionals for this one!

Im going to dye the bototm layer of my hair blond. i have light brown hair. any tips? because idk what to do.?

I'd ask someone who knows what they're doing to do it if I were you. If you can't afford it now, wait till you can or forget it.

Im going to dye the bototm layer of my hair blond. i have light brown hair. any tips? because idk what to do.?

First off I wouold suggest going to a salon, reason being when it comes to something like this duotoned hair, I think a pro is yourbest bet. She or he will be able to determine if you natural is too dark, and they may need to ble ac h underneath first so the blonde will set the right way.

I actually have thought about getting the very same thing done. My mother is a colorist and stylist so I try to listen and watch but some times it can be very frustrating to understand completley.

Bottom line I think it's great that you want to experiment with your hair, just do some research like yahoo search for hair coloring tips. When it comes to darkier natural hair colors there are certain things that may need to be done in order to make sure that your color of choice is going to set right especially blondes.

Im going to dye the bototm layer of my hair blond. i have light brown hair. any tips? because idk what to do.?

As a pro it soundl like fun, but put a few highlights on top for balance . Please a pro can do better because you can throw away clothes but not your hair unless you want a pixie and can look good in one

Im going to dye the bototm layer of my hair blond. i have light brown hair. any tips? because idk what to do.?

If you have light brown i would go with light blonde underneath. I use Loreal Feria

Help on mah hair?

how cani layer my hair on my own??

Help on mah hair?

Dampen your hair and pull it tight on the very top of your head with an elastic band. Keep sliding the band down away from your head until you reach the length you want to cut off and - snip! Perfect layers every time!!!

Help on mah hair?

WIT SOME SISSORS

Help on mah hair?

Well, I'm not really sure, but you might not want to try it. I recommend you go to a hairstylist before you mess up your hair completely. It's not easy cutting your hair on your own, none the less cutting it even and not to short. Sorry I couldn't help

Help on mah hair?

I'd suggest you do not layer it on your own. Go see a stylist that you can trust and communicate with him or her what it is you want. In other words, I agree with Nicole. Hope that helps. I just don't want you to mess your hair up since I know that would suck.

Help on mah hair?

that might not b the best idea eva!lol b/c u could really mess up ur hair!!!

How should i wear my hair to school tomorrow?

You should french braid it the night before while it is somewhat damp and then take them out in the morning, spray some hairspray and go! It will loook really pretty and give u a nice change! If you dont like that idea heres some other ones! Good luck!

How can i make my hair more volumized??

i have recently just got lots of layers in my hair, i dont want it to be flat but i dont want to just make the top volumized and the bottom just straight, then it looks like i have a mullet, i do not want that, and if i back comb it all it looks like a have an afro, and non of the volume stays anyways!! Help Me Please!!!

How can i make my hair more volumized??

blow dry your hair upside down

How can i make my hair more volumized??

Try these things:

1. Volumizing shampoo and conditioner

2. When you get out of the shower brush it, and shake the wetness out of it.

3. When you blowdry, bend over upside down.

4. If it's puffy after this, slightly straighten the different layers, but don't leave the straightener on one section for too long. just run it through.

How can i make my hair more volumized??

root lifter before you blowdry

How can i make my hair more volumized??

well i use big and sexy hair products...i have thin short hair and i love it....its makes me look like i have thicker high and it dont weigh down your hair either....you can usually get it at hair salons, and sometimes if your target sells products like that you can....BIG AND SEXY...get the shampoo, sonditioner, and the blow dry gel...and it works i gararente

How can i make my hair more volumized??

yeh the blow drying works too, i have straight flat hair but like sometimes when i want it to be big i use the Dove hair volumizer shampoo, it actually really helps. or i guess any volumizer shampoo would work, when you're washing your hair just leave the shampoo in your hair for about 5 minutes then rinse it off, then after i shower i pat my hair with a towel then blow dry it upside down. when your hair is dry it should look bigger than usual. it works for me, you should try. =)

How can i make my hair more volumized??

I have this problem too I got layers to try to make my hair look fuller but it didnt help much and if i back comb it too much it looks like a rat nest.

What I do is focus on the roots teasing it very lightly and adding a light...i mean really light amount of hair spray. If you just tease it a little it gives you an effect of more volume without the knoted look.if you make it too poofy for your taste you can always lightly comb the top layer also theres always clip in extentions if all else fails

Legal action for loss of one foot of hair?? Hairdresser did a chop job!?

Well, this is the case: She went to the salon, asked for a trim. Her hair "was" 2.5ft. long (longest layer) and the lady did fine on the back, she gets her hair "under-layered instead of getting it layered from top, down, she goes from under, out!! She has very thick hair and it is heavy %26amp; that helps.

Anyway, they totally messed up her bangs, and she went to another salon to get them straightened out, the lady who was 'fixing' it thought the under-layer was a MISTAKE and chopped off almost a foot of her hair to match it w/ the shortest layer!! She is sooooo upset she is even taking advice from her BROTHER (strange) and we are going to go get it fixed. We have pictures taken the day of the cut, and after. Is there anything we can do? If so what and what are the possible outcomes of the actions we can take??

Thank you all very MUCH!!

Legal action for loss of one foot of hair?? Hairdresser did a chop job!?

I think the second Hairdresser is at fault, because being a proffesssional she should have consulted the girl first to let her know how much of the length she was going to be taking off, and to see how much of the length she wanted to keep. Besides she just went in for a bang trim, how did the Hairstylist convince her that the under-layer was a mistake. Sounds like the the second Hairstylist she went to was unprofessional and should have consulted her first about how much she was going to cut off.

Legal action for loss of one foot of hair?? Hairdresser did a chop job!?

The only thing you can do is take the woman that gave the second cut to small claims court and sue her. The problem is, the only thing she can really do is give you back the money for the cut. It's not like she can make the hair grow back lol.

I have to wonder though, if it was only her bangs that needed fixing, why did she let the woman even touch the back of her head?

Legal action for loss of one foot of hair?? Hairdresser did a chop job!?

Chill out! It's not like someone took an axe to her face. Is she a world famous model or actress? Then she might have a chance in court! This is why people go to a very reputable stylist they can trust... which she did not do. How in the world can someone cut off almost a foot of hair without you noticing what was going on? Was she asleep?

Legal action for loss of one foot of hair?? Hairdresser did a chop job!?

Just let it grow out and never go back to those two hair salons. Court is time consuming, and causes more stress. We don't need that in life.

It is sooooo upsetting when hairdressers mess up, but a month or two she will be able to get it styled again. Without a pictue it's hard to give advise on what she can do until it grows out. +

Legal action for loss of one foot of hair?? Hairdresser did a chop job!?

I agree with Carly, in the scheme of things, its a hair cut for goodness sake, its not like she has just been diagnosed with cancer, or been mugged in the street and had her face rearranged.

and as for suing this hairdresser what on earth do you think you will accomplish with that avenue, her hair won't grow back any quicker, the only ones to win in that situation are the lawyers, they will happily take your money.
