I have rather thick layered auburn hair that's a little longer than shoulder length and it doesn't like to do what I tell it. Any advice on how to keep it looking mess free all day?

garnier fructis gel with tresseme hairspray.. trust me and use lots of it. add a little mousse when you get out shower with wet hair and since your hair is thick when your doing your hair add these things in layers like if you were dying your hair.put some gel and hairspray underneath your hair then on top.

i have problems with my hair to it is the same way so i us my special treatment for when u take a shower.

what u need:

1/2 cup of conditional

1/4cup for honey

1 tablespoon of almond oil

a wide comb a plastic shower cap

directions:

1. wash your hair lather only once; rinse twice\

2.towel dry gently then comb all tangles out

3. mix conditioner, honey, and almond oil together. now, starting at the roots of your hair smooth and coat your hair evenly with the conditioner mix.

4.put your hair in the shower cap

5. let it set for 20-30 min so it soaks in

6. then rinse it all out

7. towel dry very very gently

Ha! I am a male hair stylist and all I can say is that you ask for alot. if you can get your hair the way you want it in the morning then all you have to do is find a product that will hold it. Redken products are only supposed to be available in salon but I have seen them in a large grocery store chain, ( I won't mention the name). Anyway Redken goes by a number system the higher the number the harder the hold. Depending on your climate you might be surprised to know that Concrete (one of the actual products), is probably not the best thing for you. True Red hair is usually fairly course but believe it or not something as soft as a 1-3 on the scale would probably help you if used it while you are styling.This would help deal with the frizzys and give a soft hold which your Bo would still like. This is if your hair is in good shape and you don't work on roads or live near the ocean. There is always copying Brittany's new style ha!
