i read in magazine that you should cut two inches off your hair, then trim any layers of hair 1/8 an inch...wait three months, then take another 1/8 inch off hair and i'll end up with a few long layers.
will this just make my hair LOOK longer or will it GROW longer?
im trying to grow my hair 3 1/2 inches before July or August.

I don't think it will make your hair grow FASTER, but you should get your hair trimmed occasionally because it'll keep it healthy since you'd be cutting off the dead ends!
